The SpineCorporation are delighted to be celebrating their 20th Anniversary.
Incorporated on 13th September 2001, The SpineCorporation Limited started from humble beginnings: 1 scoliosis brace and 1 man with a dream to revolutionise scoliosis management through dynamic bracing.
Originating from a multi-million dollar project involving a large team of researchers in Montreal, the SpineCor brace quickly became popular with patients and healthcare professionals who were looking for alternatives to the rigid scoliosis braces of the day. The SpineCorporation’s founder, Andrew Mills, soon needed help managing this demand, so the team expanded to 6 people over the next few years.
More and more Doctors, Orthotists and Physical Therapists across the globe started using the SpineCor brace with children to great success, which prompted the development of a version for adults. The creation of the SpineCor Exercise Method helped those patients with physiotherapeutic scoliosis specific exercise (PSSE) needs. Later, a new paediatric version of the SpineCor brace was developed for those preferring the comfort of shorts over the original pelvic base harness.
Continued expansion led to growth within the company, including increasing numbers of clinical specialists and support staff within marketing and logistics. The number of scoliosis braces offered also increased with the development of TechnoSpine, a hybrid (dynamic & rigid) brace designed specifically for the management of adult scoliosis.
Most recently, investment in computer-aided-design has enabled the SpineCorporation to offer a complete range of dynamic, hybrid and rigid scoliosis braces, with the CMP braces providing rigid options for patients requiring night-time, full-time, or areas of reduced skin pressure.
Today, we are proud to offer a portfolio of 7 scoliosis braces, a PSSE method and pelvic girdle pain brace to healthcare professionals in over 25 countries, including our own Spinal Correction Clinics in the UK.
From humble beginnings we have the strength and expertise to continue developing non-surgical scoliosis solutions and we believe the best is yet to come.
